Just few days ago, thanks to WINE, VSTHost and FREE plugins by LePou and TSE I managed to get some KILLER sounds playing my crappy and cheapy SG guitar obtaining good results, in the below image you can find how I connected these plugins on VSTHost application:

In the meantime “Helloray – a tribute to Helloween and Gamma Ray” album (by Epicus Records) is finally OUT NOW on iTunes and I think you really should check it out. I’ll feature in the album as 5th Element bass player with our “Judas” cover with Morby (Domine) on lead vocals and, of course, as Deimos bass player with our “Land Of The Free” cover which was recorded in 2009 with Flavio Santagostino on vocals and Riccardo Piroli on lead guitar. In my opinion the album is a kickasses one, I hope distribution could reach all of you! Below you can find the album teaser. Release date is planned for march 26th so BUY IT!

Il messaggio tranquillizzante di WeBank dopo 2 ore di down

Questo che vedete a sinistra è il messaggio che si può trovare in questi minuti sul sito della banca online WeBank. Per la crononaca sono un correntista di questa banca da un anno e stamattina ho tentato di accedere al mio account esattamente alle 8:30: sito irraggiungibile. Nessuna risposta dal call center del numero verde (in realtà cadeva la linea senza neanche fare uno squillo), mutismo assoluto su qualsiasi canale di informazione e nessuna risposta alla mia mail di richiesta informazioni. Devo ammettere che questo è stato un brutto colpo per la mia considerazione di WeBank che fino ad oggi avevo reputato assolutamente ineccepibile. La cosa grave credo sia la mancata comunicazione di eventuali interventi di manutenzione. Nel caso ci fosse stato qualche problema imprevisto credo sia ancora più grave che abbiano avuto bisogno di più di due ore per tirare fuori un annuncio come quello che trovate a sinistra. E io fortunatamente non mi sono trovato nel disagio di scoprire che il Bancomat non funziona esattamente in concomitanza del sito come è successo a molta gente da quello che leggo su Twitter. Webank: questa è la prima e l’ultima volta. Se dovesse succedere ancora ci sono molte alternative online che non vedono l’ora di avere i miei (pochi) soldi.

Maybe most of you are wondering where DEIMOS (the only Gamma Ray tribute band in Italy) are. Well, actually the band is in an extremely tricky situation about the “tribute” project of the band itself. A very important member decided to pursue ways that are not music-related anymore: Ricky left the band so for all of us it’s meaningless to continue on that path we started in 2005 and that was so prolific about gigging all around north of Italy as a Gamma Ray tribute band. Up to now, we decided to start composing new songs, it’s been about a year that we go on with the composing activities, waiting to come back to the stage with new songs.
At the moment we are working hard: 7 songs are quite complete, with others to arrive, so I think I can reassuring all saying that Deimos are turning back, maybe not like you were used to know but with the right behaviour that they always had in this years.

The album “Helloray, a tribute to Helloween and Gamma Ray” is in its final phase, ready for release, I will feature in this album with Deimos (with the “Land Of The Free” cover) and with 5th Element (“Judas” feat. Morby from DOMINE).

5th Element’s writing activities is quite finished, most of the songs that will be included in the “Make The Difference” album are ready for recording, Raffo‘s working very hard. We’re planning the recording activities and we’re sure to obtain extremely good results in Giulio Capone‘s Old Ones Studios.

With regard to Fallenangel Rebirth I’m rearranging most of the song I composed some time ago, thanks to a new collaboration I found new ideas and I think I can upload some clip about that very soon. I promise I will let you know about all aspects of this project that is dear to my heart.

I’ve installed VirtualBox from Ubuntu SoftwareCenter, I’ve prepared a blank Windows 7 virtual machine (you can find a guide on this subject on this blog) and finally installed my copy of Windows 7.

Just the time of installation and of some upgrades: I obtained a virtual machine totally working as you can see on the image above! I’m totally satisfied e positively impress by the power of the Penguin Thanks Ubuntu!
